This website holds local history articles on a variety of Topics, including Place Names and their meanings and a collection of Oral Histories.

Our Local History blog entitled Links to our Past has many interesting articles about the history of the Casey and Cardinia regions.

For the Centenary of World War One, we are also posting Casey and Cardinia related content to our blog: Casey-Cardinia: Commemorating the Great War: 1914 - 1918

The Local History Archive itself was established in 1990 as a repository for the former City of Berwick. It has expanded to include the whole region and has files on families, community buildings, historic homes and more. The material can be consulted by appointment with the Local History Officer. The collection includes maps, aerial photographs, newspaper clippings, local newspapers, and photographs. Archive material may be read in the adjoining local history room. Photocopying of most materials can be arranged.
